1. Overview

TileSA is a tiling and waterproofing business in Adelaide, South Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean TileSA. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information through this website. We aim to handle it in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), as they apply to our business.

2. Information we collect

When you visit or use this website, we may collect the following types of information.

2.1. Information you provide

When you send the quote form, or email or call us, you may give us:

• your name
• your mobile number
• your email address (we use it only to reply to your enquiry)
• your suburb
• the job type you choose
• how soon you want to get started (a choice you select)
• your approximate budget (a range you select on the form)
• anything you type in the "More details" box
• anything else you choose to tell us, including details or photos you send by email

Please don't send sensitive information such as health or bank details.

2.2. Automatically collected information

Like most websites, the services that run this site (Webflow, which hosts it, and Cloudflare, which helps protect it) can record technical details when you visit, such as:

• your IP address
• your browser and device type
• the pages you request
• the date and time of your visit

This is used to deliver the site and to protect it from spam and abuse.

3. How we collect information

3.1. Direct collection

We collect information you choose to give us through:

• the quote form on this website
• email
• phone calls

3.2. Automated collection

The services that run this website can use a cookie and similar technology to deliver and protect it. See section 4.

4. Cookies, pixels and advertising

4.1. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta Pixel or any other analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website. Our hosting and security providers still process some technical information to deliver and protect the site, as described in this policy. If that changes, we will update this page.

4.2. Types of cookies we use:

• Essential cookies: when we last checked, the only cookie set was _cfuvid. Cloudflare sets it as a security cookie when a page on the site loads, and it helps protect the site from abuse. It is a session cookie, which browsers normally remove when you close them, and it is marked HttpOnly, so scripts on the page cannot read it. It isn't used for advertising.
• Analytics, functional and marketing cookies: none when we last checked. We do not currently use analytics or advertising tags.

4.3. When a page on this site loads, your browser connects directly to several providers, and each of them receives your IP address when it does: Webflow's content delivery network (cdn.prod.website-files.com), which delivers the site's files; Amazon CloudFront, which delivers a script library the site uses; Google, which supplies the Sora font and the script that loads it (Google Fonts and ajax.googleapis.com); and Cloudflare, which also helps protect the site. The pages with the quote form also load Cloudflare Turnstile, a spam check that runs in your browser and looks at technical signals to tell people from automated bots. We do not sell your personal information.

4.4. How to opt out: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also call or email us instead of using the form.

5. How we use your information

We use the information collected through this website for the following purposes.

5.1. Website operations

• delivering and maintaining the website
• troubleshooting technical issues
• website security, and spam and abuse prevention

5.2. Communication

• calling you back and responding to your enquiry
• giving you a quote, and arranging the work if you go ahead
• keeping our business records

5.3. Analytics and improvements

We do not currently use website analytics tools. Our hosting and security providers may process technical information as described above.

5.4. Marketing

The quote form does not sign you up to a newsletter or mailing list. We don't use your details for anything unrelated to your enquiry, and we don't sell them.

5.5. Legal compliance

6. Disclosure of information

We may disclose your information to the following parties.

6.1. Service providers

• Webflow hosts this website and delivers its files, and handles the quote form submissions made on it. Webflow also keeps a copy of form submissions in our website account until we delete them.
• Amazon (CloudFront) delivers a script library the site uses.
• Cloudflare provides the spam check on the quote form and security for the site.
• Google supplies the website font, and hosts our email inbox (Gmail), so it handles the messages that reach it.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies to support the services described above.

6.2. Legal requirements

We may disclose information when the law requires it, for example in response to court orders or legal processes, or government or regulatory requests.

6.3. Business transfers

If our business is sold, merged or transferred, your information may be transferred to the new owner.

We don't give your details to other businesses for marketing, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

7. Overseas disclosure

Webflow, Amazon, Cloudflare and Google are based in, or store data in, the United States, and may handle information there and in other countries where they or their service providers operate. We use these providers under their standard terms.

8. Data security

8.1. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. For this website, that includes an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

8.2. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

9. Data retention

9.1. We retain enquiry information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, maintain business records and meet applicable legal obligations.

9.2. We review information retention and take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify personal information when it is no longer required.

10. Your rights and choices

You can ask us for the following.

10.1. Access: to see the personal information we hold about you.

10.2. Correction: to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.

10.3. Deletion: to delete your information. We may need to keep some records, for example for tax or legal reasons, or if there is a dispute about a job.

10.4. Contact: if you would rather we didn't contact you about your enquiry, tell us at info@tilesa.com.au.

10.5. Cookie controls: you can manage cookies through your browser settings.

To make a request, email info@tilesa.com.au with your name and the details you gave us. We will reply within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are first.

11. Third-party websites

Our pages link to other websites, such as Google Maps (for our Google reviews). When you click one of those links you leave this site, and that site has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites.

12. Children's privacy

Our website is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can review and respond.

13. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

14. Complaints
